Senior Municipal Engineer

Spotts, Stevens and McCoy is a family-owned, regional engineering firm looking for a Senior Municipal Engineer with 15-20 years of experience to join our growing team.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Design and manage stormwater management and traffic/transportation projects.

  • Manage municipal road improvement projects, including bid and construction phase.

  • Represent municipal clients.

  • Coordinate the review of Land Development Plan review process.

  • Positively impact the municipal business line at SSM by nurturing client relationships and developing new ones.


Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering

  • Licensed PE in Pennsylvania; other state registrations, especially DE and NY are a plus.

  • 15-20 years of experience in municipal engineering; at least 5 years of experience as a primary representative

  • Superior written, oral, organizational, and relationship-building abilities.

  • Ability to present technical information in front of large groups at municipal meetings.

  • A proven track record in developing new business and enriching existing relationships.

  • Demonstrated ability to complete projects on time; managing budgets and resources available to satisfy client needs.

  • Skill and interest to manage a variety of diverse assignments and within required timeframes.

  • Ability to establish, maintain, and cultivate exceptional relationships with co-workers, clients, vendors, and other stakeholders.

  • Background in stormwater management and traffic/transportation

  • Experience managing municipal road improvement projects; reviewing development plans; attending public meetings.
